How much can I expect to pay for emergency lock change?

Just had a call from the other half, who's managed to lose her bag with her diary and keys in. Her diary has our address in it. Obviously, I'm a little concerned.

Wanted to call out a locksmith to come and change the locks but have no idea how much this will cost. Can anyone give a ballpark figure? We've got an iron gate with a yale-type key, and the front door is one of those PVC jobbies, also with a yale key.

Thanks :(

pics of said locks ?

can probably do it yourself damn easily assuming you have access with spares or your own keys.

I've got a set of keys. But I obviously don't have my own replacement locks.

*edit* bugger, just been told by a locksmith that because I rent, they can't do it unless instructed by the landlord.

if you dont want to do it yourself i would look for local handymen types as its a pretty quick job and they are more likely to be cheaper and more freely available than a locksmith.

it really is just a case of identifying what type then buying one from a lock place or hardware shop
