So you're walking down your local mildly busy high street.

It's in viewing distance of both the place you work, and the place you'd like to work.

You're single and there are a few groups of attractive females/males (as appropriate) hanging around looking vaguely in your direction.

You're friends and family come here often.

You see 1p on the ground.......

You wouldn't bother to bend down and pick it up right?

Nor 5p?

But if you're being completely honest... In this situation, how much cash needs to be on the floor before you bother to bend down and pick it up?

20p? 50p? A pound coin?

How much is your pride really worth in sterling?

Look after the pennies and the pounds will follow. I always pick up a penny if I ever see one, or any other coin for that matter, I'm not proud and I don't really care what other people think. :)

Why would picking up a £20 note off the floor be somehow losing your pride?

If people will judge me for doing so, I don't care about them.

But in the above situation it could come at the potential cost of sex/love/work/loling.

"Remember that time we saw that tramp "Bob" scavenging for change? lol.

For example.

If you saw someone spot £20 on the floor, look around and decide not to pick it up, what would your impression be of them?

Apart from the random good looking people, everyone else will know if you're loaded or not.

50p, tbh though, the answer is the same if nobody was around, i don't like to keep anyhting lower than 50p in my wallet, it goes in my tin which then goes to that awesome machine in tesco.

If you was that fussed you would just make it look like you either dropped it, or you needed to do your shoelace up or whatever.

Unless it is a devious plan to out the tramps they won't have a clue if it was there before or not.
