Call of Duty: Black Ops

Hopefully no k/d ration in objective games, did a domination earlier and i was the only 1 trying to plant the last bomb in the sudden death, so i had 16 kills and 38 deaths

So far i,m really enjoying the single player. I think the Graphics are superb, and the story is good too. Playing with Headphones makes a huge difference as well much more immersive.

So far for me its easily the best cod so far...

I'm gonna play through the single player game in 3D mode soon, tried 3D in multiplayer but found I was not getting as many kills as usual so switched back to 2D although the game does look fantastic when played in 3D.

Looks like i'm going to be just as **** at this as I am MW2:( I've turned my console off twice already due to getting annoyed at this game.
And Nuke Town is the worst map ever made. For any game. It's a bag of crap.A big bag.Filled right to the top with smelly, old crap.

What are people finding to be the best one? I really can't find one i'm happy with. AK47u seems ok and the galil as well.

FL = fleshlight?

I'm really hoping the ninja pro sorts out the sound issue for me. Cant hear people till they are right next to me and that's with an astro mixamp & hd555 set-up

So loving MP on this though. Just superb.

Ninja PRO does NOTHING enemies still can't be heard and you are not completely silent, creep in prone and it sounds like you have clogs on. :(

Yea agree, I think most of the time it sounds like every1 is shooting in a big metal tin, not matter if you in a wood house, outside or in a cave , there is no directional sound, and every1 sounds like they have those metal studs on there shoes like they were in ww2 .

There is directional sounds, I can hear which direction gunfire is coming from BUT I can't hear any enemy footsteps until they are about a foot away from me.

One very good sound effect is when you loose line of sight from gunfire and it becomes muffled. I can't understand why some of the sound effects are very good but the important ones are just useless.

Well, I concede to the hype.

Just ordered it from shopto (first time using, can anyone confirm the rep?). Cheapest place I could find that didn't add a ridiculous amount on for next day delivery.

Hope it doesn't disappoint.

Edit: Will remove/delete, if shopto are a competitor.

Really don't think much of this game. I enjoyed MW & MW2 and thought this would continue on but it is really quite dull (and appears to have its fair share of glitches). I will finish it but it just feels like hard work and not particularly enjoyable :(.

Because they wanted to wipeout 'soundwhoring' as they put it.

Well played maybe an hour of multiplayer last night and the Jury is still out for me (I even indulged in a DOM game Danny!!). Must admit it just didnt feel the same to me but it probably means i will have to get used to it, both Guns & Maps.
The trouble is i had option of an all nighter and didnt take it up it just hasnt grabbed me like MW2 did and have to say what little i have played the spawning is WORSE than MW2!

Trouble is if i leave and play the campaign/zombies for a week i will be even further behind in the Multiplayer aspect. I just hope once i get the Gun/perks i am happy with the rest will fall in place!

I think its maybe fair enough for a change but they have made people practically silent. You can still hear them but its so far down in the mix. Too far IMO. But its not making much difference to my game. There does seem to be a lot of people running past each other though.

I'm not keen on the MP side, feels much more like WaW than MW2, and I hated WaW MP... (maybe I'm weird) the maps are pretty crappy as well, they are all cramped and cluttered, the only one i've enjoyed playing on so far is Launch.

Guns feel and sound really underpowered as well, and sounds seem to be messed up, number of times i've never even heard the person who killed me, yet they are stood 2ft away...

Single Player, looks pretty, but the storyline is all over the place, and the fact they shove a cut-scene in ever 5 minutes really breaks up the gameplay, gets quite annoying.

Graphics however are great, and runs smooth as silk. The game really glides around, don't think i've experienced any slow down at all so far.

Just, IMHO, everything else feels like a step back from MW2, you can tell its a Treyarch game just from how it plays, it really feels like WaW with a MW2 skin pack.

Anywho, I'll give it a few more hours tonight. But I doubt I'm going to keep hold of it, I'll stick to Reach and MW2 for my MP shenanigans.

Ok so i picked up my copy of this on release night and so far im loving both MP and SP.

I unlike most people really enjoyed WAW and could never really take to MW2 for reason's that even 1 year down the line i cannot quite put my finger on. I think it was mainly due to the fact that right from the off, it was riddled with campers and boosters.

Right from my first MP game on Black Ops i loved it. I think the maps are stacks better than MW2 and im yet to find one that i seriously dislike. The majority seem to be close quarters type maps which suits my style of play down to the ground as im hopeless with any sniper rifle.

Also loving the fact you have to buy perks, weapons etc rather than waiting to level up. Add's another good aspect to the game along with wager matches.

Best map so far is Array.
