Are ladies naked without their handbags?

I don't think it is related strictly to handbags. Certainly whenever I have been out shopping with girlfriends or girls that are friends then they always insist on carrying the first few bags or else they 'feel naked' of course if they buy anything heavy then they get a little bag with just the receipt/guarantee and muggins gets the parcel

I don't. I do get that weird feeling like something is missing if I forget to put on a ring though (I always wear one on my right index finger).

Never ever delve into a ladies handbag, it's just not the done thing. In a similar vein to "what you don't know can't hurt you" - there's a world of mental pain in trying to reason out why the contents are there, I did try asking once and I won't be making that mistake again.

When I went out with my ex she used to take the biggest heaviest handbags I've ever seen. The worst part is that by the end of the night it would usually be "my shoulder hurts, can you carry this for me?". :/

Yeah I'll carry it... To the closest dustbin.

I've always had a fairly modest handbag - the last one was too but even that I eventually have had to stop using, as it's big enough to put just enough stuff into it that it can get uncomfortably heavy.

I know, the common sense answer is to not fill it up. No can do! If it fits, it goes in!

Have now radically downsized. I have a satchel for days in school/uni (am doing a PGCE) and the world's smallest handbag for all other times which only fits phone/wallet/keys in it.

I don't use pockets (apart from when my hands are cold) as it'd spoil the line of my hips, dahrlink.

I will offer him a compromise... if he doesnt like the bags/shoes in the boot, they could always switch places into the front seat hehe
