I'd just get the GF to hold it but thats a different topic of conversation all together...

More on topic, is it just me or has the E38 dated quickly all of a sudden?

I think the last of the e38s look better than the first of the next shape.

Hold it?

She feeds me on long journeys, why would I want to use my own arms for such a basic task?

And yes, the E38 does look dated, it's mainly the segmented leather on the door cards and the angular look that contribute. It still "feels" better screwed together than a lot of lesser brand's current attempt at "classy" vehicles.

Wish i could do this. Must be the way i set but my knees never seem high enough to control the wheel with :(

I'd say it was height, but my dad's no taller and he drives with his knees quite happily.

Knew driving is a must for the M6!

Burger in one hand, coke in the other. :p

Completely agree the facelift, dechrome and full coloured coded e38 looks more than 5 years newer than the early '96 version with the chrome bumper inserts and tango indicators, and with a good colour combinations such as the one in the first link i'm still tempted by one.

I cant' work out why some dealers are asking 6k-8k for 2001 models though, you'd have to be a proper die hard fan to buy one for that kind of cash.

Thats the trouble with fashion individual colours, they go out of fashion, that interior is dire.

Anyway thats a minor point anyone paying 17k for that has lost the plot.

You know what i dont even see that car at 7k, id rather have the 728 Fox found. You would think he would at least treat the leather and clean the steering wheel if you are trying for fantasy money.

Bloke must have had acid on his hands for 73k miles the state of that wheel.

G-reen leather..?! Jesus. :p

No chance on gods green earth is he selling that, rare or not rare that's mental!

You've gotta have serious green leather fetish to chuck any more than 7k at that, been looking at the e38s for ages and I think 5k tops for a 2001 740i sport sub 100k with beige/sand interior is about the real limit for these cars, and at that it must have widescreen nav and xenons.
