GA-X58A-UD3R eSATA wont work in win7

can you tell me how you fixed this

If it's the same problem I had it's the sata option you choose when you install win 7 I think I chose Ide sata which was wrong for e-sata or vice versa(there were only two options Ide or achi)Achi is meant to be faster but once installed as ide win7 needs a patch from ms to allow to change to achi in bios.

Almost right.

ACHI allows HDD hard swapping and eSATA

patch to Win7 not required to change to ACHI if you have installed with IDE selected

Follow this guide.. it's quicker :)
