but that will not be called a super computer it will be called a desktop PC chip, they will stick 5000 of those together and call it a super computer..

back in the 80's a quad core 3.5ghz chip would have classed as a super computer

why wont it? i'd have thought in the future it'll get to the point that super computers difference will be very minimal so the next thing to compare them on would be how efficient they are.

Maybe it will depend on whether there would any more speed to be got out the tech used to build the super computers meaning that efficiency would be the next best thing at determining the best.

as the capabilities of supercomputers increase, the requirements placed upon them will increase too.

supercomputers always have and always will be designed with performance at the very forefront.
