Thanks for rebuilding it though windle ;) Ill have a look when I get in; I don't mind too much aslong as my boxes werent damaged. Did my forest get replanted?

@ Kazz - It seems to be a bug. its happening for a lot of people on other servers too. I reckon that he broke something when fixing the same issue wit hthe steps

Your boxes were ok and input said he would replant the forest

I dont want to make it to easy for players to make money using the shop but to start trading with each other.

The shop is there to add something extra to game play & not to replace mining & making items yourself.

Gar the shop needs more work

You have put the ores on but you can only get iron and gold ore to sell as when you hit coal ore you get coal, same for diamond and redstone.

And it's also a bit pointless at the moment whilst the duplication bug still exists

you could sell your diamonds to other players though

same for coal.
 
sorry i havnt been on the past week guys.

By the way vincent, sorry i didnt quite realize the pyramid would extend that far, just found a hole in the ground so thought id build on it. i shall knock it down if you want? i invested more time on the pyramid than anything else anyway so its really not a problem if you want me to :)

Anyone can duplicate items which is why I think its a bit silly having a shop when you can dupe and sell tons of stuff,

I know other players might like the shop for the netherstone and light stone

Item dupe will likely get patched pretty soon. This is a more economic/realistic/sustainable/COOL way of doing it. ;)
 
I know it will get patched, im not saying the shop isn't a good idea

It's a great idea just not at this time ;p

this^ if it aint broke, don't fix it! if of course it becomes broke and a fix is the only solution then i'm sure everyone would agree that a fix is for the best.

I feel a lot of foxeyes comments are directed at me and i feel that it's completely unfair for someone NOT EVEN PLAYING on the server to think he has some right over those actually using it and creating things on it.

i know, it's why i was a little confused when you built it there, sorry if my boards outside the house were a bit obnoxious, consider it your eviction notice :p.

i would appreciate it if it was removed, i'm happy to help rebuild it elsewhere though :)

yes but you said the problem was you couldn't sell them to shops, you could sell them to other players for ocuks from them.


which is what gars wants the system to evolve to the shop isn't the main part the inter player trading is.

ie someone whose spent ages recently digging out a new under ground room could sell his cobble to vincent to use in his pyramid and then use the money to buy wood for his floor from peon who got it from the forest he cleared to build his house etc.

obnoxious? dont be silly, i literally laughed my arse off there hehe :) and sure thing, the pyramids come a far way though (hence not realizing it'd come so far out lol) :P but shall get right on it :P

Ps is anyone having trouble with mining blocks? as in they come back as soon as they brak and you have to mine them three to four times before they dissipear completely?

I played on server 1 before the restart. And I spent hours mining, building, exploring on that server, like the rest of you.

Since then I decided not to play again until SMP is a bit more functional, with monsters and damage included.

At that time, and assuming dupe bugs get fixed, the game will be completely different to the game you are now playing. If that doesn't call for a restart, or even a vote, then so be it. I'll leave you guys to it and find a server that evolves from the ground up with a bit of danger and excitement. Instead of one that allowed players to build their stuff in a time when there was zero risk.
