how do these rate next to the desktop relatives?
where do they rate next to ati cards?
are they all 1.5gb mem or are there variants?

is it any good lol

General consensus is that the 460m (basically a downclocked desktop GTS450 but with a 192bit memory interface) is roughly equivilant to the HD5870m.

Desktop wise you are looking somewhere between HD5750 and HD5770 performance (GTS450).

The one thing I would say is that laptops that generally contain the 460m are a lot more expensive than laptops with the HD5870m despite the similar performance.
