I have sinned and purchased a Canon

I shoot Nikon (D3) but have been playing with the idea of a new project involving video. So after lots of thinking i have ended up with a 60D.

Did think about a D7000 and even a 5dMK2 but both did not have a swivel screen which I wanted so a 60D it was.

Going to get the 50mm f1.4 or the Sigma 30mm f1.4 as i want to use it wide open for my project.

Anyone else been shooting video on there DSLR ?

Perhaps get a lens adapter and just use your Nikon lenses - it's not like you'll want autofocus for decent video anyway!

I did think about that but I do need a camera for my studio to also hire out so think i could use it there. Also i thought I read that the lens will only stick to the maximum aperture when using the adapter ?.

I thought there was an adapter that allowed you to twist the lens on the mount to set the aperture...or maybe that was someone's bespoke rig. Here's Uncle Ken's page that lists a few.
