Parcel theft!

So turns out they do have the parcel and have opened and used it.... was told in no uncertain terms that they do not give a damn and it's basically my fault if it came to their address. So of course I refused to take it (the box and some parts were missing).

Any advice? (Obviously do not want to go into too much detail on here as is a sensitive matter, so please do not demand to know additional details!)

Lost faith in humanity about now! :p

In that case tell the parcel delivery company.

Make some nice leaflets letting the neighbours know that a paedophile has moved into your old house ( apparently ).

Let nature takes it course and let karma sort the rest out.

:D

I would have thought this is along the lines of theft or obtaining goods through deception, as they knew that the parcel was not intended for them. They cannot claim it was unsolicited goods.

However, if the company have replaced the goods and don't wish to pursue it, I can't see what good it does you to continue trying? It just sounds like you will suffer further aggrevation by trying to speak to them.

this is full of win...

You seem to have all the proof this person has stolen from you, theft is theft is it not? get the police evolved...

Reason op has not said what it is yet, is that it's anal lube, vibrators and various sex toys, it has to be ;)

Do you know anyone hard? Seriously genuine question. I'd go round there with a bunch of mates and basically make sure you leave with it. As you say, principal. I'll await the keyboard warrior comments, but that's what I'd do to thieving scum like that. They aren't playing by the rules so you don't have to.

Get the police involved or come round with a baseball bat.

If you want to push it, them opening your parcel is considered more serious than them stealing the contents from you.

Of course, if it did go to court then everyone in court would find out that you'd bought whatever it is that' so embarrassing. A Barack Obama sex doll?

Okay we have either have a lot of people who have chosen not to read the thread or we have a lot of dense folk on OcUK.

I'll put this in big letters so everyone can read it.

The OP ordered goods and they were sent to his old address.

Either because he provided the incorrect address, or the company he purchased from still had his old address on file.

The people who received it don't want to give it back so the company has given the OP a replacement.

The only people who are out of pocket are the company who sent the goods, and it is up to them how they pursue it.
The delivery courier has done NOTHING wrong.

The OP should not be pursuing this matter, it is not up to him to play vigilante.
It's not going to go to court because it's got bog all to do with the OP!

His issue is resolved.
