UK too full of Immigrant for a wouldbe Immigrant

Shouldn't you be more worried about the British people buying east European women for sex?

It probably not then paying for it as most of the areas they work in decent english people left ages ago and the migrant scum have filled the void (every conceivable crack I hasten to add) living 25-20 to a house so they can work for the low wages they seem to be content to get. The is no way its legal for that many people to cram into houses and all it does is drive the wages down and creates slums out of areas.

Why do so many immigrants end up in the UK?

If you are an eastern European we are not the first country you come to when moving west, so why do they continue to travel to the UK?

You really are a rather simple racist at the end of the day.

Are you sure this wasn't you on the Galloway show? You both seem to be on the same intellect level!

Because the UK is seen as the best option (rightly or wrongly). If you were in the same position then you would most likely do the same thing. That's why I don't get the anger at the immigrants, they're only doing what they see as best for themselves and their family, just like everyone else. I don't think the current system is working but that's not the fault of the people who can benefit from it.

The current system is a total failure & has been for some time, the EU's one size fits all approach to migration is an utter farce, it fails to take into account a host nations ability to absorb a large & repeated influx of people, to house them, keep them safe & healthy, educate & employ them. but, thats the system were lumbered with.

But that's exactly my point. People didn't like it when the Celts came. People didn't like it when the Romans came. People didn't like it when the Germanic people came. People didn't like it when the Vikings came. People didn't like it when the French came. People didn't like it when the Danes came. People don't like being invaded, peacefully or otherwise, but that dislike of invasion but eventual acceptance and absorption of the invaders culture into our own IS the British way of life and will continue to be. Even as recently as the waves of immigration during WW1, WW2 and the 50s and 60s have impacted massively on the British identity. It's no good to simply decide now, after thousands of years of immigration, that suddenly we don't want any more.

And to suggest that history isn't relevant in modern times is really rather foolish indeed.

And we have a winner of the most sensible post of all time award! Have an internet cookie!

Every time this thread comes up its always a good laugh to see the people who basically go "im not a racist BUT..." as a fair few people seem to forget the point above that Britain has always been about change and adaptation, no culture can remain static and definable, mainly as it would collapse and disappear without adapting new ideals...

And for anyone who like the intellectual theory behind the "this is our way" monologue (best description as its so blinkered) let me propose that the EU leadery bloke is right when he said last week the homogeneous nation-state is over! So lets all integrate and have a party! :D (in all seriousness he is right as there is no state with just one nation in it and the state is getting pretty shoddy at representing those in it...)

The vast majority of legal immigrants are hard working TAX payers that house themselves, they are a great benefit to the U.K economy NOT A STRAIN on it. The amount of idiots in here who don't have a clue what they are talking about is shocking!!

Has capacity in schools, the NHS, policing been increased to deal with the increase in numbers?

It's hardly immigrants' fault if the government does not allow for the increase of resources, as rightly, majority of immigrants are indeed here to make a better life for themselves, and others, contributing to taxes, etc.

Actually, in terms of physical infrastructure, there has been and is investment into schools and hospitals. Whether it is in proportion with our increasing population I don't know.

Well it should have been considering the billions of pounds immigrants have paid in TAX and their help in improving the U.K's economy!
Why are you blaming immigrants for failings of the government and a global recession

Am I blaming immigrants or just being pragmatic about the issues that come along with mass immigration?

How is it fair to pay for tax dodging immigrants? It's not; I am not disagreeig with you.

But so many posters are tarnishing all immigrants with the same brush!
