Hey my brother wants to build a gaming pc for 400 pound
he doesnt need a monitor mouse keyboard etc.

he mainly plays games like cs/css/blackops/HoN

Right he doesnt need a optical drive or graphix card or os
zotax gtx 220 is his gfx

so ye he needs everything else

Particularly the Budget AMD build. If you were to take out the optical and gfx. you would save around £90 you could upgrade the cpu and case to something with a bit more bite.

Perhaps a x4 phenom II 965 or a x2 phenom II 555
and an antec 300 case to spice it up

The second build by hp7909 is far superior and well worth it in my opinion.

Stevie: it might well be pushing it. But i think it will be fine. I think i read somewhere the card on game load will draw around 270 watts alone!

If your going matx though then you could possibly look at the efficent 6850's or 70s down the line. As to be fair the I5 system is right on the money.

Only change I would make to that spec is to swap the barracuda for a samsung F3 but thats personal choice.

what are you crazy it's more then capable by my calculation he'll have at least 100w to spare the pc isn't that powerful.

gtx 460 would run on a corsair cx400 with no problems

That said, CX400's have been rated up to 480W

At OP, yes 500W will be more than enough, and I would definitely splash out for the i5 build!
