Cheapest GPU that can run Call of Duty Black Ops at 1920x1080?

Its a modified idtech3 engine - 10 years old give or take :D and only DX9.

With the right artwork tho it can produce some nice results.

My son's PC > 4890 > don't now what his settings are but sat and watched for awhile ran ok, graphics looked really good. My other son has just gone to Asda to buy it for his ps3, he won't by it for his PC as all his m8's have PS3'S.

The Graphic'S diff between the PC and the PS3 is like night and day.....

A few fraps benches ive just ran, cuban level as i havent played much of the sp.

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
30818, 363868, 28, 94, 84.696

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
30374, 348461, 59, 95, 87.166

All settings on high, 4 x aa, 1920x1200. GTX 470 @751 mhz, max memory usage in game was 842mb

Thanks so as i expected uses more than 768 of Vram when maxed out using 1920 by 1080.

Yep, 842mb according to afterburner, the game seems to have improved a bit with the patch. When i first played the sp campaign, the opening level was like a slideshow. Also a bit smoother online as well, still not perfect though.

Why not pick up a 295 for around £200.

I've got one WC'd and overclocked a fair bit with a Quad core Athlon 4GB ram and play at 60-65 FPS on that res will all settings on max.

I wonder if you did the same tweak as with BC2 to help with lag, regarding your anti-virus if it has Manage Exceptions, add Black Opps, just a thought..

Can't do no harm giving it ago, sorry don't have Black Opps...

Im running 6850 Xfire and it drops into the 40's now and again most of the the time I get over or around 60 fps.

To be honest the game is soooo full of bugs, however my superclocked EVGA GTX275 runs it with high settings no issues and they are cheap about £70 on the members market!

If you have the cash then splash out on a 6870 etc!
