Im considering buying a private plate and a good one has come up for under £1k.

Problem is, regtransfers tell me they can only supply it if i have a car to register it to, and cant supply it as certificate only.

I dont understand this and it doesnt say anywhere why, but basically does this mean i register it to my current car for £1k and then when i sell the car i have to buy the plate again to put it on the next car ? I cant see how this works tbh ?

Thanks

Yeah, Motors aren't too enamoured with him either :D

e : To answer your question, just speak to whoever you're buying it from. This must be a very common question.

IIRC you can transfer it to another car for around £80. You don't need to buy the plate again.

New plate for the Passat of perfection?

Spend more and indulge yourself, FFA1L is only £1695
