Since the Royals are such strict traditionalists - I'm assuming the bride's parents are picking up the tab? The WHOLE tab, including the smokescreen that is usually thrown across security costs when trying to make the royal family seem cost effective?

They would probably love that, then they could sell the rights to the highest bidders of a couple of hundred nations, newspapers and magazines. They would make an absolute fortune, easily enough to cover the "tiny" cost of a wedding.

As for what they do, well they spend most of their days going round openng things and shaking hands with all sorts of people. Must be one of the most boring jobs going and personally I'd probably abdocate with royal fortune (not state but their money) than do what they do.
