Crazy looking motherboard with a 'tactical vest' to apparently keep it cool and stop parts getting damaged.

It's a good idea to prevent accidental damage. Cant see how it helps cooling wise though, I can even see enthusiasts taking the shroud off alltogether.

The vest works with down-facing CPU coolers, to direct the hot air away from certain components - Ideal for cases with low air-flow.

I think it looks really nice with that cover over it, and the sockets like that.

Shame you cant really see much of the mobo after all the bits are in though :p

The thing is, it's not meant to be for enthusiasts from what I can gather. It's more server/business orientated where they use chassis with poor airflow.

The Deluxe and Maximus Iv Extreme can take care of enthusiasts.

It's *not* an enthusiast product. It's aimed at people who want long-life and reliability, in a hot environment - As Helios mentioned, such as a server.

Could we see these sort of set-ups on higher end enthusiast boards? I think it looks excellent with that armour though how it keeps it cooler is beyond me :(

It keeps the electrical components of the motherboard from being affected by things like heat blowing out from a graphics card..... *cough Fermi*
But I love how it looks though :D
