- CPU: Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz @ 4.00GHz
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard
- RAM: Corsair XMS3 (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel

If anyone else has this bundle I'm curious what settings they are using for solid Prime95 stability as mine was falling on it's arse after a couple of hours large fft.

I was able to get it 12hrs stable by bumping the vcore up a few notches to 1.35v, temps are 80-85c with a Titan Fenrir heatsink so I decided to run a blend test, after five hours one of the cores returns a rounding error :(

I've left all other settings as OCUK selected, 182 BCLK with a 22x multi, RAM at 1456mhz, 1.66v, everything else on auto.

One thing that concerns me is the QPI/VTT voltage being on auto results in 1.53v, lowering this to 1.35v causes instablity.

Any suggestions?

*edit - my motherboard is actually the GA-X58-USB3, looks like they updated the bundle*

What are your temps like.

Might be worth giving ocuk a shout seeing if they can give you a different overclock profile for you to test.

IMO i would not accept a bundle that has qpi set up as 1.5v+. Ok intell say 1.35 max plenty of people using 1.4 and even 1.45 but nearly 1.55 is not a decent overclock.

I also have the same bundle and I'm interested in your findings.

What Bios version do you have out of interest as mine came with the F1 version which has caused me problems with my SSD and SMART functions and it having to go through post twice to start.

If this is indeed a OCUK bundle you would not need to post here.

Contact OCUK Tech Support and speak with them direct :)

LOL

Because this isn't the first or the last of its nature is it?
Although OP should contact OCUK, although if that was my bundle I'd be asking for a refund, if it's not stable now, it wasn't stable at sale.

Nope

First rig in my sig was a OCUK built system originally, and it was a rock solid 3.6 OC that did not need any fiddling or alteration as it was.

Only the itchy finger felt the need to experiment :)

3.6GHZ isn't substantial.
And they'll be some launch Xbox 360's which are still working, doesn't mean they all are. (Your stable overclock versus OP's unstable)

i love my bundle i got of overclockers when i got 2 new geforce 470,s put them into the mobo it died :( yes everything was connected right)
but rma,ed and got anew motherboard which needed replaced but the bundle is exellent i love it.... i would advise anyone to get one of there bundles cos there support is the the bees and kness.....

I bought the same bundle with the h70 option, had to update the bios the other night due to sound crackling issues in games with the UD3R mobo. Updated to latest FC BIOS and contacted OCUK for the overclock settings and all is fine. Very prompt reply from the tech staff.
