The video evidence is clearer, capable of analysis before charges are laid and enables police to determine exactly who did what, without having to do so on the basis of the sometime flawed perceptions of eyewitnesses including the police.
If you are referring to the Muslim protesters with the placards, I think I am correct in saying they were not arrested at the time only after video evidence was reviewed.
Why was that, the evidence was pretty clear to the majority at the time.
