I plan to get one of said arms, but on the desk I plan to use it on, there is a bar around the edge of the whole desk on the underside. So I was wandering what sort of clearance the clamp on the bottom can go around so I can clamp it on to the actual desk and not insecurely on the bar around the bottom?
I'm aware that probably doesn't make much sense, so hopefully this picture may help.
I want to avoid doing something like that if I can (i.e. the oval like bit on the clamp can fix over a bar on the edge).
My desk is a bit like that but there is a square bar going around the whole of the outside of the desk on the underside.
