Why haven't they found ways to clean their water? Surely this is something that every other society has had to deal with. If you watch survival programmes you can even see people finding clean water without the use of any modern tools or chemicals.

How have these people not figured it out for themselves and is drip feeding aid to struggling nations doing them any favours?

Your stupidity clearly knows no bounds, I'm not even going to bother with a full response as you would fail to grasp it.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I CBA to address such a badly thought out OP with a comprehensive answer, but in short:

1) There isn't much of the stuff around in some parts of the world. If you have to walk 20 miles a day for a bucket of water (if you are lucky enough to own a bucket), you ain't got time for much else.

2) Everyone bathing, washing/ letting sewage, etc in the same (often stagnant) water as you're attempting to drink is not something you can sanitize Bear Grylls style.

3) Many other reasons.

Any more stupid questions?

This is kind of my point. Why settle so far from water? Why not move elsewhere? Why not attempt to find a clean water source/avoid polluting your only water source?

That's what successful societies have done in the past. Why aren't they able to do the same?

Isn't the aid supposed to be addressing this very issue tho?

They clearly don't have the funds to provide a water supply structure akin to that in other countries, so the aid goes towards new bore-holes and things.

Ok now you're just being a troll.

Why don't you have a think about it and come back with a few reasons?

I'm not trolling, I honestly don't know the answers to the questions I posted. Maybe I'm just having a slow day but I'd really appreciate it if someone could answer them.

If I knew I wouldn't have started this thread.

No other society or species would stay in an area that was unable to support them unless they could bring in the resources they needed to live there.

What, like gaining foreign aid to help them build/maintain a better water supply? Foreign aid is a resource and they've used that resource to enable them to gain additional resources - i.e. water.

Do you have a mobile phone? Does that mobile phone have a lithium-ion batterry? How far do you think you live from a source of lithium?

Really, water is just a resource the same as any other. you don't have to live in it's shadow to use it. Look what the romans did with aqueducts.

You've missed the basic point that they are able to live and survive in these areas the rate of death from water borne diseases is hideous but the birth rate sustains the population in much the same way as high infant mortality doesn't mean your popultion is unsustainable. We in the developed world see this high death rate and want to help.

Seriously though I can't believe that you are this dim and find it easier to assume you are a troll, i feel used.

So they aren't that bothered by the high death rates?

I really don't know what I've missed.

Yes, they are bothered. As a consequence, they are exploiting additional resources to try to combat the high death rates.

I really don't know what I've missed.

School?
