Call of Duty: Black Ops

Despite the grouping problem that doesnt seem to let my mate play with us much I am having a great time with BOPS.

I get the occasional game where I can't shoot the enemy because of lag but I just join another game and it's all fun. Not found any gun, perk or killstreak that seems to dominate either.

Can't understand the rage that seems to be going on about this game. The gaming experience beats MW2 hands down in my eyes. And this is before the first patch comes out.

One thing I would like to know is about Prestiging. What do you lose when you prestige? I have reached L39 but only had a few nights of playing it. Do you start with nothing or do you keep things like facepaint, personal emblems etc...

Can you draw your own Emblem? I saw one which was a little too rude to be not designed by someone. If so how?

You loss everything bar what you've bought for your playercard

You unlock the ability fairly early on, but it costs a fair bit to build up layers.

If you have the unmentionable emblems you can be reported and have your CP reset to zero among other things iirc, so I wouldn't bother :)

Yeah I wasn't planning on doing a naughty emblem but this guy is going to be annoyed as he was quite a high level and he is bound to be reported sooner or later. His name was Cumshot so you can just image his colourful emblem :p

Do you lose your Code money when you prestige?

Well, I just think that when you're playing a game you're not going to notice what is shown in a video that's less than half the game speed.

I also think that you're really missing the point of playing a game if you're going to pick it apart like that. This is online gaming - lag, small or large, has always been an issue - why people STILL find time to complain about it is beyond me.

Black Ops does a grand job of things IMO.

Given how the theatre clips work, lag shouldn't be a factor? In this case, it's just a bizarre hitbox.

I agree. It's the best £23.98 I have spent in ages. People expect too much from games these days and forget that it should all just be for fun.

Lag isn't fair but neither is life...so it is very accurate :p

I also agree. Like I've said a few times, people dislike this game because it's not made by their beloved Infinity Ward and therefore must be crap, despite IW leaving MW2 completely broken and abused by hackers for months and months on end but then having the cheek to bring out £10 DLC's for maps we'd already played and paid for in Modern Warfare. Treyarch have already said they'll be fixing stuff, maybe people should wait until at least a proper patch comes out before nitpicking. Granted, that video with the sniper is a little weird but as you say, this is online gaming and these things happen, it's hardly gamebreaking and I can't say I've ever had an online game of Black Ops ruined by something like this.
