Uhhh... We didn't say we'd "fix" it to your standards. We said we'd tweak it - a compromise. It may not be stompingly loud through solid walls like you're used to, but who says "sound whoring" is the way games were meant to be played?

Any idea how different it is? As the above quote doesn't give much confidence it's going to be massively different.

I agree, it's not as if stone walls are perfect insulators of sound.

If they want to be realistic, how come a spy plane can see inside buildings ? :p

If it wasn't for me wiping there team out you guys wouldn't been able to plant :p Im the crutch of the team ;)

I will o for the plant on any map except nuke town, dying after 2 secs and being spawn camped is annoying :p

How do you mean? Personally I like the benefit of full 5.1 which tells me where people are running. MW2 did have very good sound effects, firing a 50cal sounded like a real sniper rifle :D

Wanting to hear what is actually happening in a game is not ******* sound whoring!

I should be able to hear someone walking around in the same room as me firing his gun.

Yeah of course and thats acceptable. However wearing a headset and being able to hear people planting claymores on the other side of the map is ridiculous
 
Anyway the sound is better, levels are definitely up. Some people still sound silent but I guess those are people with ninja as it should be. First game I was able to hear someone run up behind me on a steel floor and was able to "turn on" them.

Havent tried without ninja pro though
 
That was my thought with people saying there is no difference, probably people using Ninja Pro.

Nice to hear you say that you could hear a difference. Will wait to try it myself.

Soulja didn't move out of the upstairs room......well apart from to run to the top of the stairs to plant his claymore. ;):D
To be fair though, the whole team put in an effort to turn that around, we couldn't get out of our spawn at one point.
And I'm certain we were screwed over on that game, I'm 100% convinced BOTH bombs blew up at the same time, then all of a sudden one was defused. :(

Its still no way near the directional sound of WAW or MW2. I dont mind the levels being lower that's fine. There's something still inconsistent about it. Maybe the occlusion not being right or something. But I did hear someone behind me for the first time ever so that's a plus. Will have to wait and watch some kill cams to see if some silent people are rocking ninja or not. Team mates are clear as day though.

I guess some FFA will be a good test. So bottom line is its not an overhaul but a good improvement that may still be a little patchy at times.

mate you were wiping them out and making them spawn AT A! We won despite your (frankly epic) number of kills, be a bit more rubbish in future please! ;)
