I'm hoping we're going to be seeing some "MINES BEEN SHIPPED" reports on here come tomorrow/Saturday....

I don't want to get into any silly debate, but I have preferred FM's approach to physics over GT5p, and I found the TT added a lot of things I felt where missing from GT5p that I enjoyed in FM, so to hear that he thinks the Physics are every bit as good as the TT is good news for me too.
Ignoring all the personal preference stuff, the real things obviously missing in GT5p where the object physics, e.g. Kerbs/Other cars/Track furniture, well they wheren't missing, just almost missing.. I really expect that all that is addressed in GT5, no wall riding, no just bashing AI out the way with hardly a care in the world, and having the kerbs and other smaller stuff really felt by the physics..
As I said, I liked the TT (just needed to dial a little of the livelyness out for personal taste), so I think GT5 should hit the spot..

I just had a call from a highstreet store to tell me as i bought GT5Prologue i may interestead to know that GT5 is coming out on the 24th for £39.99. I tried to sound surprised lol, think i failed though as i gave a little chuckle when i said " Really?" lol
I would never had kept a straight face with that

id like the idea of buying 2nd hand cars online from people that they have modified etc,

I've gone for the normal edition, and will be hoping the chrome and stealth packs become available as DLC sometime in the future.

I didn't resist the temptation of buying the PS3 + GT5 Bundle, as this was my plan from the start!
I did however have to fight the urge of getting the Signature edition.
Hoping "santa" manages to get me one of those as well!!
you know, reading about folks buying a PS3 just for GT5 makes me feel a tad better I spanked down £200 for a xbox360 when Forza3 was released..!! lol
not the only one. I'm hoping GT5 is worth it for all those who slap down £250 + for a GT5 PS3 pack. I'm sure it will be worth it, so far the game is looking and sounding to be a good driving game and that list of features is very long..!!

being one of those that got the xbox just for fm3, i'm still enjoying it at just as much a year on. very tempted with gt5 but not very impressed with 80% of the cars have no cockpit view. woulda been better just to have the premium cars and nothing else i think.

lol well when I purchased my xbox360 for Forza 3, I sat and had a ponder on other games for it... Settled on PGR4 again, already owned an xbox360 for this game and sold it a year before Forza3 came along...
So other then forza3 and PGR4 (which I'd already played to death) I had no other games I wanted for it, but still purchased it anyhow. So the fact you're buying a PS3 for not just one game but many games then yes a PS3 sounds a good choice for you..
Heck if I can spend £200 on a console for just one game, then doesn't sound too bad to me.
But I do agree with only 20% of cars having cockpit view. cockpit view is the view I use the most. Worse still, no bonnet cam? So looks like its track cam for me or cockpit.. Can't be doing with the chase views or roof views..
