Keep meaning to unlock more but don't really think they'll make that much of a difference.

Xbox 360 gamers –

We’ve recently been alerted to the fact that people are modifying their profile data to create fake gamertags with illegal characters and offensive words. If you do this, you will get permanently banned from playing Black Ops online and reported to Microsoft. Consider this fair warning.

Treyarch has a zero tolerance policy towards anyone detected as modifying their consoles or game data. Don’t do it.

Something that I've seen a couple of times online is somebody leaves a game, then they rejoin and it says something like 'X renamed to Y' and they're like 4th prestige all of a sudden :confused:

Do ALL stats reset when you prestige first time?
I dont want to complete the top markaman challenge and assault rifle kills just to find one of them may have carried over and boosted my first few levels up for me

You'll need to do all of your challenges again from what I understand.

Nobody is forcing you to prestige!

I personally don't see the point, in both Modern Warfare and World at War I got fed up around level 7/8 prestige. Unless you want a couple of extra class slots or a few new playercard options there really is no benefit. The only thing it offers is bragging rights and even that is arguable as anybody can do it provided they can be bothered to spend such a large amount of time continually ranking up, it's like groundhog day.

You have to go in to MP first then options. Wasnt in the standard options. Right at the bottom in MP options.

Just loads straight to the MP main menu now :cool:

Meh, i'll do it anyway. Gives the game a bit more playability i think then just sitting at 50. I'll just do what i did what i did in MW2 and work my way up with different guns each time

i felt like it was kicking really badly, fal seems tighter from the hip too, maybe thats just me though

It's an Xbox 360 specific feature. The last option in the multiplayer options for me is stereoscopic 3D settings. The screenshot on David Vonderhaar's Twitter shows a 360 screenshot of that menu but with an added option at the bottom which is the one you mention for launching into multiplayer automatically.

I like staying at level 50, it means in a few months time when the majority of people are all decent level prestiges they won't know how long I've been playing for.

Yeah friendly footsteps are still louder the enemies. Really dont understand why. If I worked for treyarch I'd pin a sign on the sound dept door that says "mistakes were made" OMGseeWHATIDidthere!111
