Looks like all of us using OLD Nvidia cards are ****ed then!!

Hardly, like Nvida are going to drop the rest of their cards.

Its a brand new card there are bound to be a few releases for the 580,Nvdia are obviously wanting to get the 580 at its full potential as quick as possible

So whats different to the ones on the Nvidia site 262.99, as these state..

This is a WHQL-certified driver for the new GeForce GTX 580 GPU.

and these are 10 days old ?

the previous 580 release with the moddified ini played havoc with my fan profile on the GTX460 so went back to latest 460 drivers.

Now up on nvidia with release notes

Apart from the 580GTX there isn't any change from the previous officials

And what does it add to the 580GTX ? I've read some opinions over on the EVGA forums and some people had to do a full uninstall to get these working, some people had issues with the screen being too bright, and at least 1 person found his gpu clocks stayed high when watching flash material.

Also, can't seem to get them off the nvidia site. Says they are not available if I try and download the UK ones, and if I go for the US ones, the site times out. Suppose I could use the ones EVGA have posted. These are final right ?

I've not had a problem with these and they are final. The US site is ok and they are on the beta link on the UK site.

Don't forget if you use international and then us english you may have files left over from the previous driver language!. So stick with one or the other , i prefer English
