Hi there

Had a full Turbo Back Milltek exhaust system fitted today by MG Auto's, which I must comment their service and knowledge of Japanese cars is second to none. The 735BHP EVO 6 they had there, wow!

Anyway crank up the speakers as I just filmed my EVO to see how it sounds from the outside:-

Very impressed with the car, motorway cruising at any speed is no different to stock, still very quiet, apply loud pedal and the noise is lovely and there is no booming/resonance at any RPM.

Performance wise, I don't know but seat of the pants dyno says its definetely quicker and they did an FQ-360 last week with same exhaust system which made 396BHP / 382lb/ft so no reason why mine is not in that region. :)

Very happy and £800 well spent. :)

I have a Milltek fitted on my 182, sounds amazing. Thought there are reports they are not really upto scratch on the welds and such, hope its not the same for the Evo?

36BHP just from an exhaust, really?!

25-35BHP is the norm yes on the FQ-360 as its ECU is different to the other EVO's so it adjust accordingly resulting in good improvement with no need for ecutek remap.

The stock HKS system is very restrictive, also bear in mind, I've removed the CAT as well so the exhaust is a lot more free flowing now.

Dunno, not heard any reports from other EVO owners, so only time will tell.

What is the actual size improvement? As in the measurement that matters not who made it :)

Waiting for a 'better' vid too, when you're not struggling to find the next gear :)

Sounds nice - although not quite loud enough :(
Great for 800quid considering the BHP gain and the awesome sound.

I was not driving, considering the driver has never driven an X before, I'd say they did fine. :)

3" from start to finish, I think stock is 2.5" or 2.75" so yeah a considerable size improvement, if you want exact sizes of each section I can find out.

The tips are 4" which is stock size, did not want 5" as look too big.

Only when on throttle, cruising its no different to stock, very quiet. :)

Iv had the urge with a few cars to change the exhaust but always changed my mind, once actually at the place ready to fit it.

I always think what about the other 360 days a year im not feeling sporty.

36bhp seems about right for a Turbo back. Don't think I'd want to risk a de-cat on the roads these days with the various horror stories you read on the interwebs. (That and the hassle most people suffer come MOT time).
