FAO: Deaf Students

I have countless times played with different bands at the Deaf Club in Stoke and I've heard every joke going so pointless trying to come out with new ones.
They ask you to turn the bass and drums up so they can feel the vibrations.
I was the Union Rep for the deaf & dumb (non PC then) on the factory I worked at and it was always funny when they said how good my band was.

I am moderate-to-severely deaf and I'm fine for raves. Club music is one of the few things I can hear without my aids and everyone have to shout anyway. A handful of 100% deaf pro dancers managed to learn their moves on vibrations via the floor like Inquisitor has already said.

Turned up to a rave once and a bloke was stood with his head inside the speakers and believe me it was loud. He was still there when I left at 8 in the morning.

If he wasn't deaf when he turned up.. he certainly was by the time he left!

I had a deaf friend at work and we took her nightclubbing. She loved every minute and was dancing along as much as the rest of us because she could feel the beat through the wooden dance floor.
