If I get this right, the default settings are geared more towards performance but the settings are not locked from being changed to older default settings?

I've already explained to you that I don't favour ATi over nVidia, but I dislike nVidia and ATi is my only other option. I don't get (and I've asked you this before) how that makes me a "fanboy"? However, I've noticed quite a few times you only complain about "ATi Trolls" in a thread where both lots are going at it, you say there isn't a lot of "nVidiots" but I don't know how you're missing them.

I don't get upset, I just find it annoying the way certain people constantly spread misinformation. You just don't seem to get many people spreading misinformation about nVidia, so it's less of an issue. But the misinformation about AMD/ATi is always along the lines of "drivers don't work/are crap" and "nVidia just works and never has problems". Both are untrue and it gets tiresome seeing people who actually believe this. You should know yourself that people do this, there are so many people around here who pretend (or even believe) that AMD drivers simply don't work, full stop, while nVidia's are perfect.

I still don't get how disliking nVidia = AMD fanboy though. Is there no such thing as simply disliking something and it being just that? I've pointed out quite a few times now that there doesn't actually seem to be too many AMD/ATi fanboys, but rather people who dislike nVidia for similar reasons. I don't see people going on about how great AMD are and how much they love them and how amazing they are, whereas you actually get people gushing over nVidia on these forums.

There's nothing wrong with being a bit of a fanboy so long as you're not talking ******** when you're slating your 'rival', neither ATI or nVidia are perfect nor have perfect records. Like kylew said misinformation should be the common enemy here.

Good question, I really did think that kylew's thousands of posts must all be pro ATI and anti nvidia but I discovered he posts elswhere too. Having said that; since I've been lurking there's one thing you can rely on in the Graphics Cards board, kylew will fanboy for ATI at any opportunity.

The only reason I have an issue with nVidia is because I feel like they've been up to a lot of no good the last few years. AMD is my only realistic alternative if I don't want to support nVidia's actions with my money. I don't have a problem with nVidia hardware and I'd be happy to use it, but I'm not spending my own money on it. The sooner they clean up the sooner I'll consider their products. That's simply how it is to me.

it looks like people have moved off what the thread was actually discussing I actually want to no if it has affected IQ so you can notice it and any other reviewers except German ones notice this

The IQ drops are barely noticible, back in the day ATi cards were the ones with tighter IQ and nVidia were the ones being accused of sacraficing IQ for speed. It's just a bunch of worthless scare mongering.

This is irrelevant, this is your personal take on why we might think your an ATI fanboy. This is not the reason.
