Irmsher or "aftermarket" grille

Damn right, frying is much better.

George disagrees

You can get the grill with a brushed alu strip at the top which makes it look more complete than the bare irmischer ones. I may be wrong but I thought on the Corsa D, the grill is part of the bumper and has to be cut off if you wanted to go aftermarket.

your right, theres a couple of cuts need to be made and the new grille is bonded on, think im gonna stick to the colour coded route tho, at least if i dont like it i can then go for the irmsher grille.

If this is what motors is going to turn into, Im out.

The best advice in the thread - leave it alone - ended up in the OP throwing his toys out the pram.

Ocuk motors just isn't, and never has been, the place to ask about tat like this...urgh.

Indeed, surely people are better off getting honest real advice than people helping him waste money on stuff like this

I'll bail out of the thread now, CBA with the usual replies to a Vauxhall related thread.

GLHF!!

For the love of god ...

The general consensus is that the grille looks crap. It doesn't quite matter if it was going on a Corsa or a Bentley, if it looks as bad and as hilariously chavvy as the pictures posted so far in this thread it's going to get ripped to bits.

Seriously, if this is the new and improved motor's attitude this community is not going to last much longer.

£170 for a grill for a Corsa? With £40 fitting, can't you bolt it on yourself?

I paid £41 for a genuine Lexus sport grill pre-painted and fitted it myself.

thanks for bringing this to my attention, i honestly would nt have known not to ask a question about a MOTOR part in a MOTOR section of the forums...

It's a cosmetic mod that many people feel is a waste of time and money. £170 is a joke! Fair enough it's your money but surely it's better in your pocket than wasting it on stupid tat for a shopping trolley.

If you want your bum licking and everyone saying "awesome mod m8" then ask on a specific owners forum.

This place will only tell you the truth which is why MANY people appreciate it for what it is.

and there we have one of the problems here - snobbery.

Problem? More like the forum's greatest unique selling point.

Countless people here will tell you that the reason that they enjoy OcUK motors is that it almost completely free of that annoying back slapping that goes on in one make/model forums where every idea, no matter how crap, stupid and pointless, is a good idea and must be praised.

Trying to make Motors like that will kill the community, no ifs, no buts, you just are. The first nail was the sticky itself, the next couple of dozen will be the ***** who'll constantly refer to it whenever someone has the minerals to question their opinion and the final one will be when people have had enough and simply stop bothering. If you're going to have to put up with that frankly nauseating back slapping you might as well defect to a forum that specialities in the make and model of car you're interested in and get some specific technical knowledge in the process.

The simple fact is that Motors has always been special and that's why people have stuck around - Why on earth would you continue to be a regular on a car sub forum on a Computer hardware website otherwise?

I would like to apologise for derailing the thread, but frankly I think this is a little more of an interesting subject than fitting plastic tat to a Corsa.

OP - leave it standard.

Joshy, ignore Morba, he's a fully paid up member of the "get offended on someone elses behalf" club. Jury out on if he is trolling or not since going into argument hyperoverdrive as a result of the sticky.

"OP - leave it standard."

as i ve said, im getting it painted glacier white, cheap mod just to finish off the colour scheme. Thanks for advice tho :)

unique ? Hardly

Go ask which £170 grille you should buy for your corsa on Pistonheads and see what responses it will get you - just the same.

Ha ! dont make me laugh.

The oppinion was the same when it came to modifying mark's bentley.

This forum just doesnt advocate wasting your money on cheap stick on tat.
