580GTX to replace 280GTX Sli?

Im looking to get an upgrade & the 480GTx was barely an upgrade for me so waited on the 580gtx currently using 280GTX SLI SSOC

Now the 580GTX is out do you think it a worthy upgrade

I have I7 @ 2.93 6GB DDR3 1333mhz

Setup 1. (main)
Resolution:2560x1600
Graphics: Maxed
Games: Mafia II,WoW,CSS,TF2,Batman,BF2,Dragon Age,

Setup 2.(odd hour or 2)
Next Week i will be playing some games in 3D using my Panasonic VT20.
Resolution: 1920x1080
Graphics: Maxed
Games: WoW,Burnout,Trying some others as i get them

2xGTX470s if you can cope with SLI IMO. GTX580 is roughly 15% faster than GTX480.

2x 470's will be ~20% faster than a singlr 580, but they need twice as much power, produce twice as much heat and may experience the odd issue with non-SLI optimised games. I would rather have one Ferrari than two Porches.
