When does it become christmas for you?

Having worked at Currys during a few Christmas periods, and it murdering Christmas, it never feels like Christmas for me anymore :(

Christmas Eve, after work has finished. It's always been that way for me since having my nose forced up against the work grindstone in my late teens. :( In all honesty, I'll be more excited about the 5 days I'm getting off this year.

I must be getting old, but having the Christmas assault begin in early October is disgusting. Hearing Christmas tunes on the radio in mid-November is almost as bad. It just degrades the whole experience.
When every moron decides to send credit-card sized Christmas cards with just a family name and a street written on them and expect me to use my psychic detective skills to deliver them. Then I have to chase said cards up the street as they keep falling out of my bundles.

Oh god, don't remind me. :(

Coca-cola advert came on last week. Haven't seen it since though.

I'm already in the Christmas zone, tree hasn't gone up yet, that'll go up in a few weeks.

decorations at home go up on my bday. Christmas starts then. (edit, 12th)

get taken down on my moms bday (6th) Christmas ends then :(

The child is a king, the carollers sing,
The old has passed, theres a new beginning.
Dreams of santa, dreams of snow,
Fingers numb, faces aglow.

Christmas time, mistletoe and wine
Children singing christian rhyme
With logs on the fire and gifts on the tree
A time to rejoice in the good that we see

A time for living, a time for believing
A time for trusting, not deceiving,
Love and laughter and joy ever after,
Ours for the taking, just follow the master.

Christmas time, mistletoe and wine
Children singing christian rhyme
With logs on the fire and gifts on the tree
A time to rejoice in the good that we see

Silent night, Holy night

A time for giving, a time for getting,
A time for forgiving and for forgetting.
Christmas is love, christmas is peace,
A time for hating and fighting to cease.

Christmas time, mistletoe and wine
Children singing christian rhyme
With logs on the fire and gifts on the tree
A time to rejoice in the good that we see

Edit to say that I post this every year in response to the first 'Who's feeling Christmassy' thread I see.
So technically this is when it becomes Christmas for me.

Christmas for me starts when I wrap presents... or the week before christmas - I am usually in denial about it trying to get things done when all the solicitors and similar people are trying to wind down.

This year - who knows, fist year abroad for Christmas and will probably be on the beach for some of it, which will be plain wierd!

Around mid December when the tree goes up. Generally the week before I knock off I hoke out the Songs of praise Christmas CD and put it on. Really looking forward to it this year as our kid is old enough to be looking forward to Santa coming, which is good cus when he's acting up I tell him I'm going to ring Santa and tell him he's being naughty, that soon knocks the acting up on the head :p

When go visit my old Mum and I get the 'Can you go up in the attic and just bring down the Tree this year, not making a big deal of it...' and after some rummaging around I get the 'Oh, you better go bring it all down please.' Only then do I know Xmas has really kicked in.

gonna be a bit odd this year as all our family are now living quite far apart, me and my bro have moved out seperatly and my mum has got a job in spain recently while my dad is still at our "family" home. not sure I can count on him to put up a tree.

I might just get a fibreoptic job for my flat.
