There's a tiny old grotty shop not far from me that is run by a very strange looking hunch-backed little old Butcher. People queue completely out of the door and right down the street sometimes when he's open, he must have either very, very good Meat, or very, very cheap prices! I've never been in there as I hate queuing and the guy creeps me right out :p

They're probably waiting for a chunk of the 'special stuff' ;)

I love going to the local butcher rather than buying from the supermarket. Our butcher is more expensive, sometimes, but he makes up for it with the quality of cut and the meat itself. Also, you get an opportunity to ask advice on certain meats, what to have and just a general chit chat. Plus mine throws in a few extras if I fancy making some crackling/pork scratchings :)

The League of Gentlemen was a documentary?!

Love the final presentation with the little buttery eyes. Nice.

Reminds me of one of those sun yellowed menu pictures you see pasted in the windows of cheap restaurants.

Hope it tasted good.

Argeed, I've done the same and get some great deals, I buy a lot of meat from them for my diet, tons of chicken, steak & steak mince, and the lb of bacon for saturday monring sarnies :).
Last week got a great piece of ribeye, and they only charged me for a small piece of rump steak :)
