That decision by the judge was totally bass-ackwards. What the hell was he supposed to do? How else was he going to get his car out of the garage? Leave a note? Fantastic bleeding idea, everyone can sit and twiddle their thumbs for hours waiting for some idiot to return to his car.

The judge should have given him a medal, not a fine.

A line needs to be drawn somewhere, though. Yes it is a major inconvenience to the old chap and an incredibly stupid thing for the KA driver to do.

However, as you can clearly see from the wave of people who form within seconds the place was busy, looks like school nocking off time. What the pensioner did was fairly reckless. There's people / children crossing the road who do not anticipate stationary vehicles with no drivers to come towards them.

You cannot realistically expect the judge to say ''Yeah fair play, KA driver was taking the ****, I woulda' done the same'' - (even if he was thinking that).

He was hardly ramming it forwards at full speed, he was nudging it. The only danger to a person would be if that person chose to lie down in front of the Ka's wheels.

I'd be bothered, I wouldn't damage it though. I'd rather not have criminal damage on my police record.

Anyway, no one is parking on my drive. If they did, I won't be doing any damage but I can't guarantee access to their vehicle will be granted.
