Probably not in this case, but the knob who parked there started the problem. If he'd have used (presumably) half of his dying brain cell then this would never have happened.

I'd be interesting in what rights you have if someone parks on your drive, can you report it to the police and have them remove it or could you have it removed by a private firm and recover the costs in court?

Someone parked a moped over the end of my drive once.
I dragged it out the way the first time.
It happened again so I just resorted to moving my car infront of my drive every day for a week stopping them from doing it. It was a ballache, but it worked.

I remember reading that you can get the council to remove it. Obviously that's not much use if you need to get out urgently.

I can't say I blame the old man. When people repeatedly park in front of your garage, blocking access, what are you to do?
I find it hilarious as the huge mob forms, but I bet the old guy was ****ting himself, so I can't really blame him for nearly running that guy over, either. I bet they all piled out of the same front door, too.

Really what we all need to ask ourselves in times of need is: what would MikeHiow do?
Do X, and tell the internet he really did Y, and quantify it with his considerable experience of doing W. If further credibility is required, pretend to also have done Z. If hit with opposition, change story by 10% each time. After 10 posts, flame people pointing out now completely different viewpoint.
I expect he'd panic - it's not often he sees a person that isn't related to him let alone someone of a different ethnic origin. And does he know that most people on the mainland don't even have webbed hands?

When a family of 50 pile out of a house in a swarm at 3 in the afternoon, to "attack" an old man for forcefully leaving his own property because one of them failed to park in a suitable place, it paints a good enough picture for me.

There is absolutely no evidence that there is a family of 50 piling out of a house and there is absolutely no evidence that any of the onlookers are related to the driver of the Ford Ka.
The garage is opposite a school at kicking out time. I'd imagine most of the people were waiting at the gates for children.
