I'm flying from Dublin to Charleroi Brussels South airport on Sunday coming and I need to get to Antwerp.

I've never travelled in Belgium before and want to know what's the best way to get from the Airport to Antwerp?

Am I right in thinking I have to get a bus form the airport to Brussels city centre/train station then from train station to Antwerp?

What sort of money am I looking at for tickets etc?

I'm not the best traveller any time but this is not knowing how to get my way there, is making me freak out a bit... :(

all i can tell you is there is a tube network that can get you into the centre of brussels, as that's where i've been. as for getting to antwerp, i'm sure someone will be able to get you that step further ;)

ah that's a bit more like it...thanks for the replies everyone....bit more at ease now :)

stupid question but I take it English is a fairly well used backup lingo so I'd not have too many problems communicating?

damn damn damn a belgian question and i'm too late.

Pity I'm busy this weekend or i'd have driven you up.

Busses go from airport to brussels south station (gare du midi/ brussel zuid) takes around 1 hour 15 mins.

Need to look up train times to antwerp sunday after that oh keep an eye on the trains they are already on strike today.

The more north you go in Belgium the more chance to have to find someone to speak english. If the don't speak english it's because they don't want to help.

WTH??I'm from Belgium myself and that last sentence is a ****load of crap.Everyone wants to help, and if they don't want to,it's because they don'y know the language. Now if you wanna talk about the french talking people from Belgium you do have a valid point.

Red Light District in Antwerp was good fun to visit even if you're just window shopping the views ;) there are some awesome Bars there and it has a much better atmosphere than Amsterdam's Red Light District, [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]Schipperstraat or Schippers Quarter it's called, very Touristy and safe place.
