Could anyone spec 22" 1080p gaming monitor?

I'm in exactly the same boat.

I've had my eye on LED rather than LCD with either LG E2240T or IIyama Prolite E2271HDS.

Still to decide which though!...

Don't fall into the trap of thinking that 'LED' is a seperate entity to 'LCD'. It simply refers to an alternative form of backlighting. The bad news is that cheaper LED-backlit monitors, such as the ones you're looking at, suffer from quite colours under default settings. I would advise against jumping on the 'LED' bandwagon unless you are considering at least a BenQ EW2420, Samsung XL2370, BX2450 or something even more expensive. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18207946&highlight=led+backlighting

The LG W2261V(P) that the OP linked to is an excellent choice with superior image quality (particularly colour balance) to the E2240T. A similar monitor from Samsung is even better value, at £130; B2230H.

I recently bought a Viewsonic VX2260WM from another retailer. And it is amazing for XBox and PC, watched The Dark Knight Bluray on it and it looked better than my uncles new Bravia! COD4/MW2/Halo look utterly amazing on it, never seen them anything like i have on this beast.
