What TV series to watch next?

The Wire is the best series I've seen to date by a country mile
saw Generation Kill recently and it's pretty good.

Mad Men - just watched the bulk of the first season and tbh it's woeful. A bunch of philandering ad men arseing about. Reminds me of desperate housewives but without the humor.

EDIT:: Has anyone seen the new sherlock holmes series? I hear it's bloody good

Boardwalk Empire starring Steve Buscemi is fantastic... can be slow at times tho but i like that...

Also 'Terriers' is cool!

... oh and dont forget Fringe!

watching lost now for first time. just starting season 3 tonight. also very good.
also can recommend 24

The Wire. Watched all the episodes over a 5-6 week period. I just can't get into anything else since. The last time I felt like this was after I had done the same thing with the Sopranos. Going to try The Shield next.

Started The Shield this week compared to the wire its very very fast ur love it im sure :D

+1! Not sure on the movie though, projects like that tend to have problems getting funding but I'd love to see it thats for sure!
 
The Wire is the best TV show I have seen. Absolutely brilliant.
Other series I can recommend are
Fringe
Entourage (Brilliant)
Chuck
24 (gets boring if watching back to back seasons)
Weeds
 
mentalist is still going, stick with that :)

also, the walking dead
no ordinary family

Shows i wouldn't recommend:
Lost (glad i stopped watching after 2nd season)
