Yes, it took me 40 minutes I timed it. I have a 500GB 7200rpm Hdd install but shouldn't make any difference as it'll only read at 5400rpm (or so I believe).

I didn't inlcude the timing of the 133MB patch, as my net connection speed varies..... But once I clicked on OK to install to Hdd I noted the time on my laptop and once the game got to intro I noted the time again... Took 40 minutes in total..

It reported 30 minutes when I clicked ok, then it got stuck on 45 seconds for nearly five minutes and then a few minutes stuck on 3 seconds and then the game loaded.

I know it is slow, I was just saying that some people take 40 mins, some take 50 mins, some take 33 mins etc.
fyi, it says you ned 8gb, but it actually only copies 6,419mb (I think the rest is installed in small chunks as you access the individual menus/features). I wish they just had an option to install absolutely everything in 1 go.

Anyway 6419Mb would be 3.24mb a sec. If it was 8.5gb It would be even slower!!!

The approximation it gives is all over the place really, don't rely on it!

I have a 320gb 5400rpm drive in it iirc. Not sure on brand, but I have had it since PS3 came out.

for some silly reason i pre ordered off ocuk due to me having it sent to a different address i thought it might be easier but now im sitting here regretting my decision :(
i half expected it to be with me earlier due to the high price tag of 45.00 not a day late never mind , i will just do my pre ordering of games in future of dedicated gaming site :mad:
hope you guys choke who are playin on gt5 :p;):D

some good banter in the chat room on ps3 mostly about my decision on keeping the copy mentioned .

Cheers for the heads up guys, just bought it from Tesco's for £35.90!

Went in and didn't see it on the shelf (Tesco Metro though), luckily a bloke was stacking a shelf next to it so I ask him and he'd never even heard about the game! Went in the back and got me a copy though, apparently they took stock about an hour before I came in.

Will be interesting to know, the only difference is the different versions of PS3.

Or maybe different localized games have other default languages and need to install different files that take longer.
