Hi guys

If i update/flash my BIOS version, will my OC profiles still be saved or will they wipe?

Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58

Cheers!

Jeez you guys are always quick! xD

Ok brilliant, ill have to jot them down or try and export them, thanks for the prompt reply!

Hi,

I saved my overclock settings in profiles, loaded default settings, flashed bios and saved profile was still there, so reloaded.
It is worth having a quick look through as one or two items needed changing, but the basic overclock was there (Asus P6X58D- premium)

Hope that helps
Steve

Personally I would be wary of that. BIOS updates can bring new features, which obviously won't be included in profiles saved from an earlier BIOS version.

They won't always be erased, it depends on the update. My OC profile remained after flashing from 1003 to 1108 (P6T Deluxe V2). I have lost it on some other updates though and it's kinda weird that it didn't get erased this time since 2 or 3 new options appeared in the BIOS.
