We've all heard that they cause cancer, is the risk really as high as it is made out to be? I know a few people who practically live off them, and others who boycott them because of the possibility of cancer.

How does OcUK feel about them? Do you use them or not, are you scared of getting cancer? Interested in how you view them and why.

Must admit I've always avoided any beauty care/products that I thought were unnatural. A friend suggested I try it because I am so pastey :D I'll come to my own decision by myself, just want to hear the views of others :)

PS: I'm writing on my new phone. Taken me ages! My thumbs are too big for touch screen.

"the most deadly form of skin cancer - was increased by 75% in people who started using sunbeds regularly before the age of 30. "

From the International Agency for Research on Cancer

Don't see the sense in it myself i.e. premature skin aging as above... but like anything its not that bad for you in moderation but if your spending prolonged periods using one its not gonna be good for you at all.

Well you do enjoy looking like a chav, go for it.

Just lol.

Only asking because I know very little about it. I thought it was possible that it just had negative publicity, and that maybe it wasn't as bad as it is meant to be. More research needed!
