I'd recommend getting one and I'd recomend buying a unlocked one and pay for ultra cheap sim only deals with no fixed contract from the carrier of your choice. For me, this works out cheaper than the cheapest contract deal that there is out there at the moment. That's not to mention the fact that unlocked iPhones (in good condish) hold their value much better than carrier specific iPhones in regards to eBay.

Until you come to sell the device As said, unlocked phones sell for good money.

Plus, you won't be tied in to lengthy agreements, so you're free to get the next model without having to pay your way out of the contract.

iphone 4 battery life is terrible. 2 days on standby with maybe 3 calls lasting no longer than 2 minutes and not much other use

then u have a dodgy phone. i get 3 days atleast with gaming web browsing calls texts.
