Used to work in a factory that made a skin cream for women of darker complexion to appear more white, always found it a bit bemusing that there's a demand out there for 'Caucasian' make-up.In Asia, adverts seem to feature "white looking" asians quiet frequently, unless its for hair loss products

'Racism and Hate' is filtered at work. As is Maddox as 'tasteless'
As mentioned by previous posters best not to read those forums if you take offence but yes some peoples takes on things are shocking.
Just for clarity, I'm not taking offence in a "oh dear me, think of the children!" kind of way. I'm simply astonished that people like this exist. The reason for my post was to get other people's take on the views on that board, not to scream "this offends my moderately liberal views! I'm offended!"

A little OT but I was speaking to one of my cousins a few months ago about some encyclopedia britannica that we had inherited recently. He mentioned he had a copy of one from 1904/1905 I think in which there was a small section on 'Negros' in which it stated 'some of them are capable of quite complex tasks'
just shows how backwards some of us were and in some cases still are r.e. the racist american lady who assaulted her postman saying he was a 'N' thief and that black people had small brains.
My point is that there will always be idiots.

Do explain?
Surely multiculturalsm already was working, you know, when we all have separate countries and operate together. A lot of people don't like it being rammed down their throats however as if something terrible will happen if we don't have the government backed 10% quota for each ethnicity in each borough, and that is exactly why it won't work, because a 'multicultural' society would be one that doesnt discriminate based on race (which evidently our society DOES with today's policies to 'enforce' multiculturalism). These policies will make you a racist, nobody is born one.
The people that justify ethnicity quotas or any sort of 'affirmative' action are just as racist as those on stormfront.
Didn't he mean stormfront are the people who will make it work? In that their being so ridiculous makes everyone else see the stupid side of going against it.

Possibly, they do have ridiculously presented views blinded by hate. But, when you strip all that away, they aren't the ones implementing racist policies in today's society (yes, ethnicity quotas are racist), so they do have a point.
I don't disagree, and yes it's likely that we'd probably have a slightly more multicutural society without policy trying to force it to be.
You can see how it's come about though, an exaguerration of fear of discrimination leads to forcing people to actively not discriminate, and unfortunatley it in some rare cases goes as far as positive discrimination, it's not a common thing though, and is not the primary cause of people having problems with a multicultural society.
The flip side to that is that I also have a right to have an opinion on their opinion. So I reserve the right to read it and then ridicule it. The joys of free speach eh?
