CPW - how to prevent the mobile webSite

Hi all

Carphone Warehouse have launched a rather nasty mobile website, and now when I visit the site on my iPhone or iPad I automatically get this mobile site. I can't for the life of me find a link to return to the normal website, or any other means to get back to the normal site. Has anyone got any ideas?

The browser is telling the website it's a mobile browser so the website returns the mobile page.

No options in the browser to tell it to act as a normal browser?

No I don't think there's any option for that. The main problem is that CPW don't give me an option to switch back!

Try clearing the cookies? That sometimes works...

That's the problem with Safari/Apple, if the website doesn't add a method to bypass the mobile version your screwed... (and one of the big pluses switching to android for me)

Wasn't skyfire released for iOS recently? You could use that.

yep just get the opera or skyfire browser from the store

i had to do the same on android for certain sites

even telling the webkit browser not to act as a mobile browser?

Tried Opera and that goes to the mobile website too even though the mobile site option is off.

I had this problem with opera also, with the John Lewis site for example. Skyfire and the android browser seemed to spoof the site into thinking my phone was a pc though.
