Haven't played any PC games for the last 3 or 4 years as I've been happy with my 360, but I'm looking to pick up a GTX460 and get back into PC gaming.

I've played most FPS on the 360, so I'm really looking for something I haven't played before, any suggestions please?

Willing to suggestions for other types of games too of course. ;)

I'd rock some RTS too if you're looking for a PC-beneficial game. SupCom is a good place to start there (not 2, it's quite consoley), or Company of Heroes is a good one with a big online base.

Otherwise, we're all waiting for battlefield 3 mate *sigh*

Fallout New Vegas :)

With the PC version and the deadly headshots mod I think I only used VATs twice - the rest was played as an epic FPS with RPG elements and a great story.

Also, ARMA 2: Combined Ops (includes Arrowhead) is well worth a look.

*Obligatory 'It looks pretty but plays distinctly average' reply!* :p

Actually I found it anything but average, most reviewers did too. It is a system hog, but considering I'm not a big FPS fan I thought it was excellent, even with a 360 pad!

You may of played the original Farcry, if not then it's worth a blast.

For an awesome online shooter try Counterstrike-Source, if you're good at FPS's(unlike me)!!!!

Also, considering most if not all non FPS exclusives on the consoles are vastly superior on the PC then you might want to play through some again, some you might find for £2 on Steam.

P.S.

I wouldn't think moving to the PC after years of using a pad combined with the huge amount of FPS flooding the console scene (mostly rubbish) is a wise idea.

Thanks for the replies.

Davewhite, I'm not moving solely to the PC, I'll still be using my 360 and Wii, I just fancy a little PC gaming too, and I'm afraid I'll be using my 360 controller too, as I'm playing on my settee, hence can't use a keyboard and mouse!

Deus Ex, Half Life 2 (ofc the PC version is the definitive one), Portal, Team Fortress 2.....and if you have not played it on Xbox already, L4D and L4D2.....

OMG, Valve dominates!

not many PC exclusive good shooters on fps tbh, those times are long gone unfortunately. Stalker and Crysis are good, but not great. 4/5

you may want to consider some RTS and MMO on PC as they seem to be the only type of real PC games left nowadays.

RTS: Company of Heroes and Starcraft II must have. both excellent 4.9/5 ( i don't believe in perfect games)

MMO: Age of Conan if you have the time to invest in MMO ;) 4.5/5 problem was it was released with limited content after lvl 40 and got slated, but now with all the patches and added content it's very good/complete imo. definitely give the demo a try. obviously many others to choose from such as WOW, LOTRO, EVE

RPG: Titan Quest and The Witcher are ok 4/5

Sims: Arma, Rfactor and Flight Sim if you like those types of simulation games; they seem to be references in their respective categories. personally not my thing so won't grade them

all these games look good on PC and will make good use of your card

PS too bad we have nice PCs and not many good games to choose from, at least it has saved me a few quid from having to upgrade PC. we only seem to get crappy console ports, bar a few exceptions like Mass Effect, Fallout ...

STALKER

STALKER

Did I meantion STALKER?

Thats three games to keep you busy but of course you cant miss out on Crysis and Crysis Warhead, i'm jealous of anyone who gets to play them for the first time

not many PC exclusive good shooters on fps tbh, those times are long gone unfortunately.

Call of Pripyat was out this year

Both Crysis Games, All 3 stalker games, team fortress 2 if you don't have that, Arma CO (some might term it a sim, but it's still bloody good).

If your after PC exclusives the best are to be found in other genres these days, SC2 is a great RTS, as is CoH, and plenty of MMOs to choose from, both free and paid for.
