Why do marker pens smell so good?

I have a marker pen that smells like marzipan

We have them at work too!

I always sniff it before i use it

I've always preferred the smell of Poly cement (airfix model Glue) especially when I was a kid and spent hours at my desk tripping on the fumes and building models simultaniously.
