Gibbo - How do the Iiyama ProLite E2607WS 26" compare to the Hanns.G 27.5"?

I'm upgrading from a 22" Belinea mainly for the extra resolution. Are the above monitors fairly similar in quality?

I can't compare it to another monitor, but I have the 26" Iiyama listed above and it's excellent. Only downside is not having 1:1 mapping (unless this is a revised version that does have it now).

I'd definately recommend it. (but do your homework obviously!)

So with it being on this weeks offers makes it a good deal?

I'm also looking at either the Hanns.G or the 26" Iiyama, suppose I should have a google for some reviews of the ProLite E2607WS.

HI there

Iiyama is superior to HannsG in quality.

We view iiyama as a premium manufacturer up there with Samsung. :)

I have same 22 as you and going for same upgrade so i will watch this thread carefully nearly hit the buy on the Hanns.G 27.5 then come across this thread :)

The stand on the 26" isn't exceptional, it's very basic, but it does it's job. The speakers in the monitor aren't too bad either.

(I did get interference noise from the speakers strangely though the HDMI connection I think, not sure why as it was intermittent when the sound wasn't on, and could easily have been my cable or my gfx card. Don't let this put you off!)

Thanks. I'm really struggling to choose between these three. I'd rather like the 16:10 of the 26'', but the fact that it doesn't (apparently) have 1:1 pixel mapping puts me off a bit.

I'm also not sure whether a slightly better stand is worth an extra £20 for the
B2712HDS.

Argh....

By the way - when do the 'This Week Only' offer end?
