Lol. I knew it would happen. I hate to admit I was right, but I knew from the debacle that was TDU it would go the same way.

yeah, yeah, told us so:p I was really looking forward to this. Next thing you know GT5 and Fallout NV will be delayed too, writing off my forth quater games buying spree...

Sounds like how most online betas start :confused: - just sounds like they have started straight off with a public invite beta than keeping it internal only for the initial phase...

But most don't start off as public betas though. By the time the general public is aware of a beta it's pretty much open to all, or at least a few thousand gamers.
 
Not sure if our opinion differs? Its not that limited, its more the case the first beta sweep will be small as usual but offered to the public and not handpicked testers/internal staff

Although really looking forward to this I'm kind of glad in a way. It'll be released in a quietier period then the mad Xmas rush and at least they aren't rushing it so hopefully it will be great.
 
Anyone pre-ordered this yet? Thinking about doing so myself but was wondering what pre-order offers people are going for?
Not sure what i can and can't name store wise still but most places seem to be offering the casino and a car, 2 i have seen are Aston Martin V12 Vantage Carbon Black and Caterham Superlight R500 car..
 
I was thinking about pre-ordering, then I watched some videos and changed my mind. Definitely one to wait for reviews to come in first.
 
Anticonscience, what's wrong with the vids you've seen? I was definitely going to preorder this game as I'm looking forward to it, but if the vids aren't showing it in a good light, I might wait for the reviews. Although if it keeps a similar formula to TDU, allowing you to buy cars, upgrade them, and then just drive around the island, what is so bad about that? The first game was awesome :)
 
Got my copy on pre-order, can't wait until release. Even if it's just more of the same I don't care, I loved the first one and need something to get me away from GT5:D

I know it isn't going to be amazing!!!!!!! But I should enjoy it as I loved the first, hopefully it works properly with the G25 which I have no doubts about.
 
Having never played any of the TD series, how do the cars handle on a DS3? Are we talking GT5 or arcade NFS esque? If it's arcade there's a definite pre-order going in, if not I'll have to play some GT5 on DS3 to see how it does.

TDU was the right side of arcade, but still arcadey if you know what I mean. It wasn't a sim by any means, but it also wasn't Out Run.
