Possible Test Drive Unlimited 2 information!

It was all borked last night. Got in just after 6pm, but couldn't see anyone on my friends list and map if I filtered it. Went into a club and couldn't do anything else. Then I got booted and after that I couldn't get onto the servers, the game kept telling me they were down.

Great patch Atari / Eden. I've been so patient but I am actually getting rather hacked off now. They need to pull their fingers out and sort this crappy game out!

Yup, sick of it now. Pre-patch I had little to no issues, had the looping load screen 4 times last night followed by the game crashing after creating a club. Still can't see any friends on the map when filtered or via the players bit on the pause menu. The whole club thing is baffling too. Set-up a club only to find you can't invite anyone via the club and have to pause the game then trawl through the players list to find the person you want :o
 
I was really hoping that this patch would bring some positivity to the broken game, but it is apparent that despite sending out a patch to fix these problems, half haven't been resolved and I don't really care that they're now trying to use the excuse that the servers are overloaded. They should have foreseen how many people would want to play the game after it has been so broken since release, and started sorting the server optimisation prior to the patch release. They had a window of 3 weeks whilst we waited for MS and Sony to pass the patch off, so they had absolutely bags of time to get optimisations in place during that time. They could easily have simulated server load in a non-live environment and then tweaked and tested on a test system before putting them onto the live servers. All-in-all, it has been shoddily managed through the whole of the release. I really love what the game is about, but I am losing faith in the game and I am playing other games now because all I have left to do is unlock the roads in Ibiza, which I can't be bothered to do right now just for the sake of doing it.
 
Almost feel guilty for saying this, but my experience is now pretty much perfect. No crashes or hangs, I can always find whom ever I want to meet up with, and the casino (bar the roulette) is working as it should.

Same, never had a single problem with the game since launch day. It's extremely rare I'm not connected to a server with real people racing around.

I'm always on the servers, I can see people, but none of my friends that are all in the game and playing show up in the friends list or on the map. This hasn't worked since launch for me.
 
Game is improved connectivity wise, but my friends list is still unpopulated and I've still had crashes every now and then. My Dlc Pre-order bonus car is still not showing up after all this time either.

I hate to say it but I'm beginning to lose faith in this game. I think I'll be sticking to Nfs Hot Pursuit if/until such a time occurs when they've fixed it.
 
Been playing this over the holidays. Just finished all the cups now and got $7 million in the bank. However, this is nowhere near enough to buy all the cars/houses so how do you make more money? Can you do all the cups again?
 
I seem to have found a way around it. I bought the yacht for $7 mil and then sold it. You only need 15 houses or something to get maximum points and 50 cars. So I've done both of those with $4 mil to spare. Now I'll just sell all the excess cars and keep only the best one in each category. Now on to getting all the roads discovered. :(
