Hi again all :)

after the great advice you all gave me on buying my sons graphic card - which he was over the moon with, so thanks again :) - i thought i'd pop back and ask for some advice on abit of an upgrade to my own system...

basically, i need your recommendations for a new psu as im going to (attempt to) use two graphic cards now (crossfire?)

my cards are : (er... this is what it says on the boxes)

sapphire vapor x toxic hd 4870 1gb gddr5 pci-e dual dvi-i/tvo
xfx radeon hd 4890 1gb gddr5 dual dvi tv pci-e

my system specs are: (these are just copied from the "properties" in "my computer" so please advise if i need to supply any more info)

Intel (r) Core (tm) 2Quad cpu
Q9650 @ 3.00ghz
3.00 ghz, 3.25 ghz ram

at the moment my psu is a 750w rubbish no-make one (win power??)
and im using windows xp 32 bit
my monitor is a 42 inch toshiba - which doubles as a telly and erm... i dunno, do you need any more info?

oh yes, i play games like wow (shush!) the sims 2 and 3 (dont you Dare comment!) Silverfall, The Witcher and fallout

many thanks for any advice you can offer :)

I think from the following chart they will work but it's not a recommended combination.

I think 32 bit Windows will be a problem.

It looks like you have 4GB of RAM and can currently use 3.25GB.

If you install two 1GB graphics cards won't the amount of RAM you can use be reduced as the 2GB on the graphics cards will need to be mapped into the 4GB of space which 32 bit Windows can address?
